While many of my teammates started playing basketball at a very young age, I didn't find the sport until I was 11, after my two older brothers began playing for fun and socialising. Of course, I mirrored everything they did, so I pressured my parents to put me in the sport and I immediately took to it.
I spent majority of my adolescent years studying and sleeping in backseat of the car, travelling all around the state and country three days a week and every weekend, while juggling three main sports in athletics, netball and basketball.
After deciding to specialise in basketball, I made my debut in the professional league in the WNBL at 16.
Since then, the game has taken me to over 10 countries, while playing for both the Opals and 3x3 national teams and Botas Spor in Turkey.
Basketball has provided me with so many incredible opportunities and life experiences and has connected me to some of the most amazing people. It's allowed me to build a platform to find and express myself, while inspiring others along the way.
Every day feels like a gift. I am grateful to my family and to my supporters for continuing to inspire me and making this possible.
